recessionista [ri-shesh-uhn eesta] n. A person who rises above the grimy dust and rubble of a crumbling Wall Street by looking fabulous on a budget.
So how does one become a recessionista? Well, if you're like the majority of us, you've been one all along; hitting up vintage resale shops and creatively pairing the same old digs, while living on shoe-string budget. However, if this lifestyle is new to you. Here's a great way to ease yourself into it. And no, we will not suggest a fashion diet rich in Target couture... no matter how obsessed everyone seems to be with it. Try renting.
Think about it. You need a head turning dress, Chanel perhaps? But there's no way you can invest in a $2000 dress in times like these and still have the conscience to wake up in the morning. So. For 1/10 of the price, you can rent it. Be honest, you were only going to wear it once anyways.
Here are a few recessionista friendly rentals we can tempt you with...
Like this beautiful Norma Kamalli dress...

Or this Fendi suit for your next big presentation or interview

How about Mariano Toledo's bright pink halter dress?

There's no reason fashion should suffer because of boring business suits. So for all this and more come visit us at www.angelicadebiase.com
Also, ADB is in the Austin American Statesman! You can check out the article here . It features a brief run down of our Austin store and more on how to rent your way through this recession.

This is a great blog, and the last one is my favorite posting. RENTING is SO chic right now - it's RECESSION CHIC. Love it.
